Two Services:
Carol and Cande Lighting - Saturday 7 pm Christmas Day Worship - Sunday 10:30 am

Hey everyone,

We are excited about our Candle Lighting Service (Sat 7 pm) and Christmas Day Service (Sunday 10:30 am) this weekend. We will be excited to see Dr. Fred Guthrie kick off our Candle Lighting with the Opening Prayer. He's excited too!

The Candle Lighting Service is from the original "Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols", introduced in 1918 to bring a more imaginative approach to worship. It was first broadcast in 1928 and is now broadcast to millions of people around the world.

The service includes carols and readings from the Bible. The opening carol is always 'Once in Royal David's City'. It was written by Eric Milner-White, who was thirty-four at the time. He was convinced him that the Church of England needed more imaginative worship. This carol service was the result of his passion for a creative service.

On Saturday there are many different readers, including lots of young adults as well as senior members of the Redeemer family.

Please bring your friends and neighbors for this special time followed by Gourmet Cookies!

Yours in Christ,

Steve
