Pastor Dan Hettinger

Dan's is currently involved in care ministry on several levels. He serves as Pastor of Congregational Care at Mountainview Christian Church in Highlands Ranch. His is a Chaplain at 2 hospitals: Sky Ridge Medical Center, Lonetree and Denver Springs Behavioral and Addictive Hospital. He has served has a Hospice Chaplain with Hospice of Saint John.  Dan has founded the Best Care Ministry Network by calling on churches and speaking about various topics connected to care, as he is here today. His network of over 800 contacts currently has 465 recipients of his weekly e-mail, This Weeks Care Ministry Idea from Chaplain Dan.

Dan has also published a book, Welcome to the Big Leagues--Every Man's Journey to Significance, The Darrel Chaney Story. He also encourages men to care for other men through mentoring and leads the Men's Ministry at Mountainview.

These ministries have converged from over four decades of parish ministry as he has pastored and planted churches and served in staff roles on a couple of occasions. The Christian and Missionary Alliance was his home church and he followed his call to Toccoa Falls College, an affiliated college, for his preparation to ministry. Much of his ministry has been back east but he and his family moved to Castle Rock 20 years ago to plant a church, now called Castle Rock Bible Church.

His wife Susan and he will be married for 42 years this summer. They have 3 married children and two grandsons. Dan says there is nothing like the pleasure of spending a day with my grandsons. They both live in Ohio.
